Video Poker - How to Play the Game

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

If you are looking for a fun and challenging alternative to playing slot machines, video poker is the game for you. Instead of simply pulling the machine handle and hoping that you will be lucky enough to meet a row of identical icons, in video poker your moves would rule whether you win or lose. Moreover, the house edge in video poker is much lower than at slots.

Playing video poker is similar to playing draw poker on a slot machine. It enables you to enjoy the action of poker without having to face other players who may be more experienced and skilled than you are. In addition, in video poker, there are no dealers, no rakes, no bluffing, no cheating; it is all about you and your poker skills.

How to Play Video Poker:
There are several variations to video poker. Some of the video poker variations are played with standard 52 card decks while others are played with additional wild cards. All the variations are based on the traditional card game of poker. Therefore, a basic knowledge of poker hand ranking is necessary.

You start by choosing the coin value you wish to play and then pick the number of coins that you want to bet. Afterwards, you click on deal and five cards will appear on your screen. You can discard some or all of the cards and replace them with new ones. After pressing hold on the cards you wish to keep, you push the deal button and the machine replaces your discarded cards with new ones.

The outcome of the second draw determines whether you win or lose. Each video poker machine displays its payout table, which details the number of coins the machine pays for each five card poker hand. The payout table differs from one video poker variation to the other and so is the minimum hand that qualifies for a payout.

Video poker odds are the same as in regular card poker. A 52 card deck produces more than 2.5 million hand combination. Each video poker machine is set by a random number generator, which simulates the probabilities of drawing any of the poker hand combinations. While in regular card poker, the casino ensure its profits by collecting a rake, in video poker the casino ensure its profits by setting each machine pay table differently.

Video Poker Tips:
1) Learn the basics of draw poker before you start playing video poker at gambling-portal.com online casinos or at a casino nearby.
2) Know the machine payout of the table you have decided to play at by selecting the machine that offers the highest return.
3) Adjust your strategy to the specific video poker variation you intend to play.
4) Use a mathematical strategy to play the game correctly.
5) Do not keep cards that cannot be used to form a winning hand.
6) Hold on to any pair instead of keeping a high card.
7) Keep any pair rather than draw into a straight or a flush.
8) Practice playing online video poker in a play money mode.

UEFA Cup Round of 32 Preview

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

Hamburg 10/1
Despite a strong start to the season, Hamburg’s recent form has been poor. They’ve suffered two Bundesliga losses in 2006 already. To make matters worse, several key players are missing with long term injuries. Even though Hamburg had a good run to date in the UEFA Cup, there are too many uncertainties with this club to make them a backable choice. They are false favourites at 10/1.

Roma 12/1
Roma got off to a slow start this year, in both domestic and European competition. But they have been invincible since the Christmas break. With nine straight Serie A victories, Roma have jumped up the league table. Expect that form to continue. Roma have little realistic chance of taking the Scudetto, so they will be firmly focused on the UEFA cup. The squad has depth its competitors lack and continues winning even with a depleted roster. Roma are the classiest, most talented and motivated side in this competition. We’d make them no bigger than 8/1 and fully expect them to win this tournament.

Schalke 12/1
Schalke have produced stunning displays in European competition, such as a 7-4 demolishing of Bayer Leverkusen. They have no trouble finding the net, but Schalke’s loose defence saw them knocked out of the Champions League by Milan. They’ve found a new coach, who should tighten things up somewhat. But we are wary of backing a team that leaks goals, no matter how powerful their offence. At 12/1, Schalke are best avoided.

Sevilla 14/1
Sevilla have been having another solid season in the top third of the Primera Liga table. It’s hard to find fault with them in any particular area. They are certainly an above-average club, but not a top-class side. Sevilla should go far in this tournament, but its hard to see them dominating games. That makes this price look a bit short.

Monaco 16/1
After a strong showing last season, Monaco are simply an average side this year. Despite boasting strikers like Ernesto Chevanton, Marco Di Vaio and Christian Vieri, Monaco are hardly a goal scoring powerhouse. They average just over one goal scored per game, not nearly adequate. Based on that form, it would be a mistake to back them at this short price. But if Monaco’s big guns start firing, we could easily see this team in the final.

AZ Alkmaar 16/1
Last year’s surprise team in the Eredivisie, AZ have proven they are for real. They are challenging for the domestic title again, only five points behind PSV. But do AZ have the depth to endure the strain of two competitions? We have a feeling that if PSV pull away in the title race, AZ will settle for second place and focus on winning the UEFA Cup. They’ve been a force both home and away from the Alkmaarderhout. Don’t be surprised to see them in the final.

Hertha 20/1
Hertha owe their UEFA Cup berth to their above-average performance last season. But they are a decidedly weaker squad this time around. Hertha are draw specialists with nearly half of their Bundesliga matches ending in stalemates. That simply won’t cut it in this competition, particularly in home games. Hertha represent poor value even at 20/1.

Stuttgart 22/1
When it comes to draws, even Hertha can’t compete with VfB Stuttgart. With 12 draws from 21 Bundesliga games in the first half of the season, it has been a frustrating year for Stuttgart. They recently sacked coach Giovanni Trapattoni after he failed to produce results. We feel this will rejuvenate the squad and boost their goal scoring. Whether it will be enough to take Stuttgart to the UEFA Cup finals is another matter. But expect to get decent line value in Stuttgart’s next few matches.

Middlesbrough 25/1
After working hard and perennially finishing in the top half of the Premiership table, Middlesbrough have had nothing but frustration this term. They have slipped near to the relegation zone, and beleaguered coach Steve McLaren’s head is perilously close to the chopping block. A recent shock 3-0 victory over Chelsea followed a run of just one win from 11 games. Expect Middlesbrough to fight for their Premiership lives, and put their UEFA Cup hopes on the backburner. Even 40/1 is a charitable price on them.

Save Money by Renting your DVDs Online

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

As a movie lover myself I discovered that the best way to rent DVD movies and games in this day and age of the modern computer is by using one of the Online DVD and Game Rental Services. If you love watching movies or playing video games you should seriously consider one of these rental services as a time savings convenience and value.

The two largest DVD Online Rental companies which are very well known by their 3 Million plus members is NetFlix and Blockbutster. Both services are very similar, however, NetFlix seems to be top dog as of this writing.

Some of the great benefits of Online DVD Rental includes:

- 40,000 movie titles

- New releases

- No late fees

- Free shipping, both to you and the return shipping

- Affordable monthly plans

- No long term contracts

- Cancel membership anytime

I am confident that you will find either of these services a great resource for your own DVD and Gaming needs.

Both DVD rental services, NetFlix and Blockbuter, have done a wonderful job of keeping their service simple and easy to use. By providing your basic information and then adding your favorite movies to a list or queue you can begin receiving movies right to your mailbox postage free. It’s just so crazy simple!

One of the best advantages to renting your DVDs online is direct delivery to your door. Not only do you receive free shipping, you′ll also get fast delivery of your DVD movies and game rentals. I always receive movies in 1-2 days and return shipping via a pre-paid envelope back to the company is delivered in a timely manner as well. This makes the DVD turnaround time very quick and your more than likely to always have a DVD movie on hand.

You may keep each DVD or Game as long as you like. Remember, there are no late fees so you are free to watch movies at your leisure. No need to feel rushed in watching your movie because the DVD does not have a required due date for return. This one feature alone is money in the bank from saved late fees. I don’t know about you, but our family has paid many late fees over the years for movies that were not watched by the 1, 2 or 3 day return due date. We actually paid more in late fees than we did for the movie!

No more late fees for us! We do all of our DVD movie rental online now. It not only saves us the hassle and time from running back and forth to the nearest DVD rental store, we love the anticipation of our next DVD in the mailbox! –It’s almost like Christmas…

Online DVD rental is definitely the superior choice for renting DVD movies. As long as the DVD Rental services continue to keep the process simple and easy I see Online DVD Rental as the wave of the future.

Telephone TESOL

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

Telephone TESOL This is a half hour lesson in Telephone English – aimed at Intermediate level students of English as a Second Language. It’s interesting to note that English sounds very different on a telephone - voices get distorted, and for the foreign student a few weeks of tuning in to the English voice can be lost in the first sentences of a phone call. Also note that there is a telephone language that we use that will seem very foreign to those unaccustomed to our practices! A lesson on Telephone English could go something like this… Welcome. Try something different – take a call on your mobile (or act one out) as the class gathers – speak loudly and clearly to engage the curiosity of your class! Show the class a series of pictures featuring phones. Use these pictures to get brains, imaginations and tongues moving. Brainstorm: what do we use telephones for? What language do we use – how is it different from everyday language? Write words and phrases on the board! At this point (and the timing will be interesting), get someone to call you on your mobile from outside the classroom (how about your Mum, or a colleague?). Put the mobile on loudspeaker and let the class listen in – try and make it a little bit personal!! Also, make a call, maybe to a Utility Company or another business, on loudspeaker. All the time, ask students to make notes of what they hear. Discuss the calls – what did your students hear? Isolate phrases, answer questions arising. Ask the class to split into groups. Chose three common telephone scenarios from the brainstorm and ask each group to prepare a brief call, each of a pair of students acting a role in the call. During this preparation the teacher should be helping students with the pronunciation of words. Presentation: the pairs act out their calls – this should be fun!

Simply Sestinas

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

Repetition isn’t necessarily a bad thing in poetry. There are ways to use it without sounding redundant. It means more than repeating the same words or phrases. It also refers to using sounds or patterns that are common throughout the poem.

Sometimes, repetition is so subtle that it’s not recognized instantly. It’s better when an author creates a poem and the reader doesn’t see what’s coming next. The last thing you want is to have your readers tired from reading recurring lines or words. The best advice I can give you is to keep your readers intrigued by using your repetition in a flavorful way.

For example, sestinas use repetition but if it’s done the correct way there’s nothing tiring about hearing the words being used more than once. Every line can sound fresh if a little creativity is put behind the poem.

Sestinas can be a tough challenge to master. It’s made up of seven stanzas, the first six stanzas have six lines, while the seventh stanza has only three lines. There is a very precise and complicated pattern to the sestina’s stanzas. However, since there isn′t a rhyming pattern or a specific meter to follow there’s still a lot of freedom in this form.

The first stanza determines the rest of your poem; the six words you use at the end each line will be repeated in different places throughout the rest of the poem. Even though you are using the repetition of words, your poem won’t sound redundant if you use your words wisely.

The second stanza is created by taking the last six words you used in your first stanza and placing them in a certain order. Here’s the breakdown of your second stanza:

The last word in the last line of your first stanza ends the first line in the second stanza.
The last word in the second line of your first stanza ends the fourth line in the second stanza.
The last word in the third line of your first stanza ends the last line in your second stanza.
The last word in the fourth line of your first stanza ends the last line in your fifth stanza.
The last word in the fifth line of your first stanza ends the last line in your third stanza.
The last word in the last line of your first stanza ends the first line in your second stanza.

Sestina Format

The end words rotate their position with each of your new stanzas in the following pattern.

First Stanza- ABCDEF

Second Stanza- FAEBDC

Third Stanza- CFDABE

Fourth Stanza- ECBFAD

Fifth Stanza- DEACFB

Sixth Stanza- BDFECA

Seventh Stanza- There are three lines, using the last three ending words, and then the other three inside each line in no particular order.

If you’re ever up for a challenge try your hand at writing a sestina. The outcome is very rewarding and feels like quite the accomplishment.

Careful When You Bet Only Against The Public

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

The public does fall in love with some games and the old saying “If it looks to good to be true” still remains strong. Sure the books still cash big when the public overwhelmingly loves a side of an NFL game. But let’s look at the Sunday NFL schedule as an example. Let’s say we look at the most popular 10 games and have the public pick the winners of each of those 10 games. Most likely the public will hit an average of 4-6 of those 10 games. Simple mathematics will tell you that fading the public as your only method of handicapping may prove to not be a wise decision. When you take in to consideration in the NFL that the public often does bet the better team you have to wonder if only fading the public can even win.

Sure we recommend using the “public” as part of your handicapping but make sure you use other tools. The best handicapper will never be stubborn or never think they are smarter than the oddsmakers. Never discard important handicapping methods. Take it all in to consideration. Here are some important factors a handicapper should take in to consideration in the NFL.

1. Quarterbacks – Sure you need more than just a quarterback but often it’s a very simple question you have to ask yourself.

2. Running Game – Often if you have no chance of running the ball you are in for a long day on the field. Also with a favorite who can run the ball will have a better chance of covering that favorite spread.

3. Offense and Defense Lines – The average Joe will not pay attention to this part of handicapping and it’s so simple. Sometimes you have a mismatch in the trenches that will say a lot.

4. Home and Away – Examine this carefully. Some teams can not play to a high level on the road and some don’t care if they are home or away. With some teams who are not that good usually have the ability to turn it on in front of the home fans.

5. Trends – There is debate on whether it’s better to fade or follow trends but sometimes it’s good to know if a team has beaten a team 12 times in a row. After a while it gets in the head of players.

6. Field Goal Kickers – If you can’t kick a 40 yard field goal it changes everything. Make sure you know who your kicker is.

7. Revenge – Some people say revenge doesn’t matter but these athletes are competitive and they do remember if they received a butt kicking the last time they played.

8. Line Movement - As much as we say don’t use it as your only way of handicapping. A good handicapper will take notice. Pay attention and see if you can find a trend.

9. On Deck - More so in college football but many times you will find a team that is not 100% focused on the game at hand with an even bigger game next week.

10. Pressure - Some teams handle pressure very well and some teams are king of the chokers. You can usually get a feel for the way a team is. If it’s all on the line and a team has proven they are not very good in critical situations, don’t expect that to change over night.

Bottom Line: There is no right way or wrong way to handicap a game but always be ready to learn and take advice. Don’t let pride get in the way. Also stay away from teams that you have a rooting interest in as a fan. It’s hard to remain objective and although you think you are objective often you are not.

Handicapping is not a sprint. Do not try and get rich over night. Realize it’s a marathon and set up reasonable goals. Make sure you are prepared. Factor in everything and never think you are better than the oddsmaker. If you are able to do this objectively you might just set yourself up for a winning season.

I, Ego, and Power

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

I: - A vowel that didn′t appear in sacerdotal alphabets for which there is little, or should I say not one IOTA of, reason to hold up for personal glorification. The ego is man’s greatest hindrance and his competitiveness possesses him like the demons he has created in his IGNORANCE!

I O TORUS:

Mathematics has a language so pure it cannot lie. Energy has every reason to conform to good mathematical formulae and this is said to be the best way of communicating. Digitized ‘bits’ are not what it is about; though they are binary math that came from it, and make our computer age possible. In 1650 BC An Egyptian scribe copied something into what is called the Rhind Papyrus. Where it came from is anyone’s guess. It includes binary math.

That being said I must confess this particular piece has many things in it that I don’t understand. I have read some things related to it but never heard of it in the terminology ‘I O Torus’. You can presume that it has merit and that the writer herself doesn’t fully understand it either. Or you can judge it as actual fact derived from ‘The Table of Destiny′ which it may well be through the ‘Mark of Qayin’. If she did not include a research project done in France, I would not be moved to include it under this heading or even use the term. I would find other ways to express what I think it is dealing with. It certainly is an exercise to test whether or not the reader has an open mind.

“As I worked on my next book, ‘Secret of the Grail’, I stared in amazement at the 8,000 year old ‘alphabet’ before me. Although, I had kept a copy of these strange ‘symbols′ close to my computer for months now without understanding why, suddenly, in that moment I realized where I had seen these curious geometrical signs before - in the hundreds of crop circle photographs that I had examined over the years.” (1)

The work of Marija Gimbutas is probably what led to her language that she is calling the ‘Ea ANNA’ script. ‘Ea′ is Greek for ‘of’ and ‘de’ and rather than her name it may relate to the De Danaan, whether she knows it or not. Gimbutas and others like Richard Rudgely who wrote ‘Lost Civilizations of the Stone Age’ call it Old European. She (DeAnna) appears bent on the figurines that look like ‘grey’ aliens. The epistemic art background of these and other amorphous figures has little to do with aliens and may have something to do with human auras, or just representational art. The Tartessus use of a language reported by Strabo seems at least 1,000 years older than this dating, but the halls of academia want more proof. The Saharan alphabet is from the same period. The roots of all language include divinatory math such as will be contemplated in her article; but language had a sign language root and chanting spiritual root that we shall explore under Ogham. It would appear likely that there is a human type race (Mungo Man or even older ones) that co-existed with Homo sapiens and taught them some of these early language or communication tools. It is quite likely that the de Danaan were some of their students or even possible they were these ancient hominids.

As to the alien Mars root of humanity I am not inclined as yet to buy it. The recent discovery of water on Mars and life in meteoric material from Mars may buffet these claims. Anything is possible, but I prefer to look for answers that are constructed with step by step logic.

“Furthermore, as incredulous as it seemed, I remembered that in ‘The McDaniel Report’, Professor Stanley McDaniel carefully and painstakingly details the curious ‘markings′ seen on the computer enhancements of the Mars ‘Face’ - strange markings immediately recognizable in the language that I named the EA ANNA Script for the ‘House of ANNA.’ {A second set of photos of the ‘Mars Face’ in closer definition show no face but a rectangular base that Mars origin enthusiasts are now focused upon. The ‘face’ is NOT a FACE and it was nice of NASA to task subsequent flights to address the concerns of people.}

In other words, here was a ‘mathematical’ language carbon dated at 8,000 years old (possibly 500 million years old according to one researcher), an ancient language comprised of strange symbols that reminded me of various Native American signs. In fact, the small dots and bi-lines, obvious mathematical symbols possibly representing the Power’s of one, two, three, etc., could be found in the Mayan numerical system. I also realized that although particular carbon dating methods could be called into question, the fact was that perhaps hundreds of thousands of the figurines of the Great Mother Goddess as Creator of Mankind were inscribed with these geometrical designs. {I have seen evidence to draw the beginning of the connection between Old European markings in Gimbutas’s book ‘Language of the Goddess’ that allows this correlation with Mayan.}…

Although the first language on Earth is considered to be Sumerian, this enigmatic alphabet was irrefutably dated at least 2,000 years older. {Rudgely says it was accepted as an alphabet until the dating showed it was 2,000 years older. Then they called it ‘notation’ or tallies. He correctly decries the lack of integrity that alters facts to fit prevailing theories, and gives many examples of this phenomenon [ego?]. He is an Oxford trained expert in art history as it applies to archaeology.} A startling revelation that indicates that rather than ancient civilizations migrating from east to west, from Mesopotamia as previously believed, {There are many scholars since the early 70s who have given this perception a rude going over from all points of reference, especially engineering and the social structure of adepthoods around Stonehenge, etc.} these peacefully co-existing societies migrated from old Europe {Where the Keltic god DANA and DN=Don and Danube, as well as DNN=Danaan or Homer’s Denians.} to the Middle East. This also explained why the Mother Goddess worshipped by all ancient civilizations, including the Hopi who still revere her as the Snake Mother {The ‘serpent’ in the Milky Way and the cosmology of many observers of the heavens.} who came to Earth to create mankind {A reason why when the ‘snake′ didn’t touch the Earth in the heavens that the Inca people knew a momentous change was about to occur. This is a part of the TV documentary I mentioned earlier in reference to the Inca.}, is still recognized as AN or ANNA in Ireland and Scotland, whereas in the Middle East, the early northern semites had altered the female name of AN or ANU to that of a male ‘god’. At the same time, Sumerologists have acknowledged a fact that has been largely suppressed; a distinctly female language existed in Sumer. This language was used exclusively for sacred purposes much as the strange markings in the EA ANNA script were inscribed exclusively on female figurines of the ‘Mother’…

At the same time, in order to understand the Mars mystery, it is absolutely crucial to examine the major difference between ancient civilizations that practiced a loosely defined ‘religion’ of nature and traditional religions of today that worship a male ‘god’. While the earliest civilizations honored the Mother as Creator, through elaborate ceremonies associated with the cycles of seasons, offering gifts of food and flowers, traditional religions rake in billions of tax free dollars, much of it traceable to gun running, drug trafficking and money laundering operations. Goddess ‘worshipping’ (a term not used until the 16th century) civilizations believed in freedom of choice; the importance of self-experience and that it was possible to communicate directly with a higher source {Do you think a son of the ‘arch-tecton’ family of David and Solomon was raised as an intellectual Essene or ‘Therapeutae’ to know this and other things?=Jesus.}. Therefore, it was not necessary to communicate through an intermediary such as a priest, rabbi or minister consequently, love was more important than power {The ‘living father within’ and ‘We are all the children of God’ (YHVH). of Jesus.}. A far cry from today’s power structures that are directly involved in suppressing the individual right of freedom of choice and the slow erosion of our constitutional rights {And a reason for the treatment of the ‘money-changers’ in the Temple [of the Sadducees] by Jesus.}…

Is it possible, that as the evolution of humanity took place, these curious symbols were originally a ‘telepathic’ language used as a means of communication between humans and deities that were extraterrestrial in origin {Or advanced hominids like the Mungo Man}? Indeed, two EA ANNA script symbols in particular strongly suggest that this is the case - the I (a line) and the O (dot or circle).

As nanotechnologist, B. C. Crandall told us, the ‘I’ and the ‘O′ somehow accesses ‘memory′, or possibly a higher intelligence. When a particular molecule in the eye sees, reads or writes these two binary figures. Much as the computer is programmed, the I and O were used to open and close memory. Neurologists also acknowledge that the geometric symbols in the Crop Circles are called ‘Antopitic’ forms. These forms vary between people but this sacred geometry is seen in the early stages of meditation. Then, as the ‘hyperdimensional’ brain of the individual goes deeper into altered states of consciousness, these geometric forms mix with the familiar forms of everyday life…

HYPERDIMENSIONAL PHYSICS

The I O Torus

In order to discuss certain ideas which go beyond the bounds of three-dimensions, physicists and mathematicians have developed concepts such as hyper-cubes and hyper-spheres. While we can draw a three dimensional sphere or a cube on a two dimensional surface, the drawing can only show one view of the object, no matter how we turn the two dimensional drawing. We can make three dimensional models and two dimensional drawings of hyper-dimensional objects, but there is never enough room in two or three dimensions to show what the full hyper-dimensional object really looks like.

In a reflexive universe, Arthur Young writes, ‘the formula for the volume of the Einstein-Eddington universe, the so-called hypersphere, is 2 R,’ this is the same as the volume of the I O Torus with an infinitely small hole! From this, we see that there is a strong mathematical relationship between an I O Torus (a three dimensional object) and a hyper-sphere (a hyper-dimensional object). The I O Torus, a symbol that relates to hyperdimensional physics is also capable of two kinds of rotation {Remember the high spin atomic entry}. It can rotate about its central axis and it can turn through itself.

To understand what the I O Torus looks like, imagine an eliptical shaped ’smoke-ring’ or donut, the ‘line’ of light (or space as the I, in the script) passing through the center of the circle describes it best. This ‘I’ or line of ‘energy’ passing through the center of the circle has a positive pole and a negative pole, furthermore, additional research may prove that the ‘I’ and the ‘O′ in the EA ANNA scripts represent, in physics terms the wave and the particle.

The I O Torus may also explain, why an extraordinary experiment performed by Alain Aspect’s team of scientists in Paris has been virtually ignored. Aspect’s team brilliantly confirmed quantum theory, the study of matter at the subatomic level, which proved one of the following possibilities: either objective reality does not exist and it is meaningless for us to speak of things or objects as having any reality beyond the mind of an observer, or else faster than light communication {This, before NEC showed 300 X light speed last year.} with the future and the past is possible. These are not hypothetical assertions. According to Aspect’s confirmed theory, at least one of the two above options must now be accepted as fact. Thus the I O Torus may provide the key to faster than light communication with the future and the past, perhaps as it opens and closes memory, as well as the key to ‘free energy’ or cold nuclear fusion. This may be the reason the northern Semites (early Hebrews) and the early Romans erased every trace of the original symbol for the Torus. {We will prove a connection of the Bruttii and sons of Aeneas that founded both England and Rome later.} The ‘Torus’ symbol was altered, not only by the northern Semites, but by the Egyptians {The symbol of the bee in Egypt and Crete to Miletus/Phocaea will show a trail with massive money that makes sense of all of history up to Napoleon who was made Holy Roman Emperor with a bee festooned robe as he took the crown from the Pope and placed it on his own head.}, into a circle with a cross in the middle {The ‘rosae crucis’ symbol.}, a hieroglyph used to describe ‘place’ or the ‘city’.

As my research continued into the EA ANNA script, I soon discovered that various goddess worshipping civilizations had protected the secrets of this particular mathematical language. In the beginning, I found the EA ANNA mathematical symbols in the Sacred Geometry {Golden Section of Masonry} associated with the Brotherhood of Pythagoras {see Croton entry}, an organization that honored Nature and revered the Mother as Creator. I also recognized the EA ANNA script in the cipher code of the Knights Templar, a secretive organization that evidence reveals was an off shoot of the Pythagorean Brotherhood after they were virtually eliminated {Incorporated into a new larger theme.} by the early Romans.” (2)

She continues to develop partial understandings of the Templar/Mason and Bilderberg ‘octopus′ without knowledge of key players like the Illuminati of Weisthaupt, Hibernians and Cecil Rhodes or the Merovingians. She has a bent to develop or add-on to the alien theory of the Christian Mystery Schools and myth-makers which is taking her judgement way away from obvious things that are readily provable. However, she is on a course of truth in the area of science and such things as anti-gravity and time.

In 1966, Dr. Carroll Quigley, a professor of history at the Foreign Service School of Georgetown University and an employee of the Tri-Lateral Commission who informed or blew the whistle on them; published a 1311 page book called Tragedy and Hope: A History of the World in Our Time. On page 950 he says: “There does exist, and has existed for a generation, an international Anglophile network which operates, to some extent, in the way the radical Right believes the Communists act. In fact, this network, which we may identify as the Round Table Groups, has no aversion to cooperating with the Communists, or any other groups, and frequently does so. I know of the operations of this network because I have studied it for twenty years and was permitted for two years, in the early 1960′s, to examine its papers and secret records. I have no aversion to it or to most of its aims and have, for much of my life, been close to it and to many of its instruments… my chief difference of opinion is that it wishes to remain unknown, and I believe its role in history is significant enough to be known… because the American branch of this organization (sometimes called the “Eastern Establishment”) has played a very significant role in the history of the United States in the last generation.”

Marion Meadows “Dressed To Chill” Smooth Jazz Music CD Review

Friday, January 29th, 2010

Dressed To Chill is the latest smooth jazz CD released by the very talented soprano/tenor saxophonist and clarinetist Marion Meadows who once again has delivered a brilliant collection of tracks. I’m confident Meadows fans, and smooth jazz fans alike will be pleased with this one.

Meadows has been a superstar in the smooth jazz genre for quite some time and Dressed To Chill is an excellent illustration as to why.

These days it’s a very rare CD on which every single song is good or better than the one before it. This CD is certainly one of those rare CDs.

The CD launches with the title track, Dressed To Chill and will definitely be heard on smooth jazz radio stations everywhere, and deservedly so. From there Meadows and company proceeds to display why he is considered one the best saxophonist of our time as he mixes his signature phrasings throughout the CD.

Smooth Jazz music fans will recognize some of the well known contributors on the project including guitarists Chuck Loeb and Freddy Fox plus a few other notables as well.

Overall My Point Of View is an outstanding release. What I call, must have music. I give it two thumbs up and is most definitely a worthy addition to any smooth jazz collection.

If you′re a Marion Meadows fan this is a CD your collection should not be without.

While this entire CD is outstanding the truly standout tunes are Dressed To Chill [track 1], Miss Know It All [track 4], and Steppers…Let’s Do This [track 10]. My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 7, Coco Flow. A very nice tune!

Creating Your Own Compositions

Friday, January 29th, 2010

The idea of actually creating a complete piece of music to play frightens many students. They just don’t understand how someone could come up with something, put it down on paper, and call it their own.

The good news is that you don′t need to read music to compose. All you need is to understand a little about chords and musical phrases.

For example, in the lesson “Reflections in Water,” we have 4 chords to create with. We have the order in which the chords are to be played - and then we play, creating an entire piece of music.

Now this piece is actually an improvisation. But if I wanted to “compose″ this same piece, I would just draw bar lines, notate where the chords should be played, i.e. every 2-bars, every 4-bars, etc., and either pencil in the first 2-bars of melody, or record it so I could remember the melodic idea.

This is how I compose! I’ve been doing it for a very long time and it’s a great method to quickly capture musical ideas. If I were to write out the same piece note for note, it would take hours! There’s no need to do this because once you have your chord changes down and know the arrangement of the piece (Reflections in Water is a broken-chord arrangement) that’s that!
